U2 is almost 33 year old rock band formed in 1976 in Dublin Ireland. The band consist of four artists Bono the vocalist and guitarist, The Edge guitarist, keyboard and vocalist, Adam Clayton bass guitarist and Larry Mullen Jr. on the drum. The artists were teenager when they started their band, the band was limited in musical proficiency. Their tremendous performance made them a top international band in mid 1980s. The band appreciated more for their live performances than their records. But after the release of “The Joshua Tree” albums they became superheroes of rock. War was U2's first commercial success in UK, "New Year's Day", was the band's first hit outside Ireland or the UK. |

U2 Tour
U2 announced 40–45 shows in 2009. The tour will begin in Barcelona on June 30 and play in Europe through to August 22, 2009. The band has planned their tour to North America on September 12, 2009 at Solider Field in Chicago and will end on October 28, 2009. The U2 360° Tour is presented by BlackBerry they will going to visit 14 cities across Europe including dates in Barcelona, Milan, Paris, Nice, Berlin, Amsterdam, Dublin, Gothenburg, Gelsenkirchen, Chorzow, Zagreb, London, Sheffield and Glasgow before finishing at Millennium Stadium in Cardiff on August 22. In September and October, U2 360° Tour will also visit: Atlanta, GA; Charlottesville, VA; Dallas, TX; Houston, TX; Las Vegas, NV; Los Angeles, CA; Norman, OK; Phoenix, AZ; Tampa, FL; Washington, DC and Vancouver, BC. The band will return to American stadiums in June and July 2010, and travel back to Europe for August and September 2010. The band tentatively plans to tour South America sometime in 2010. The U2 360° Tour could potentially consist of 90–100 shows over the two years.
